Doing the Post-A-Week Challenge
January 2, 2011 § Leave a comment
This blog has been rolling along quite nicely for the last two or three months. My initial efforts – a post or two every couple of weeks when I felt inspired – have become a more regular effort to post at least a couple of times a week. The result has been a steadily growing number of readers, and a lot of fun and good habits for me.
So, I’d like to keep it up through 2011! WordPress is challenging bloggers to join one or both of their challenges for 2011: post-a-week or post-a-day. I’ve found that I really enjoy writing this blog, so I am tempted by post-a-day; however I personally think this is overkill. I doubt I have enough interesting musings to share to produce something worth reading every single day, for at least a year. I’m more likely to end up putting you fine readers off visiting.
So, post-a-week it is, but actually I’m aiming at three posts a week. This strikes me as a good balance. Those of you who read Words About Words regularly: thank you for reading, and commenting, or liking posts. It certainly encourages me to write more, and regularly. If you like Words About Words, I hope you’ll keep visiting and participating, and I’ll keep writing.
Happy new year!
